Abstract
In this paper, an analytical method for the determination of wear meta ls in engine lubricating oils is described, including wavelengths and operating conditions. An Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission S pectrometer (Perkin-Elmer Optima 3000) is utilized. Results are presen ted based on the analysis of NIST SRM 1085 Wear Metals in Lubricating Oil.
