The possibility of control radiative annihilation channels related to
the exciton self-trapping and exciton localization by potential fluctu
ation caused by a compositional disorder in Pb0.80Cd0.20I2 and Pb0.90C
d0.10I2 mixed crystals is shown. These results were obtained for the f
irst time using the method of selective laser excitation into the regi
on of inhomogeneously broadened exciton states of investigated solid s
olutions at 5 K.
