Abstract
Fourth instar larvae of 10 of the 12 species of Coccinella L. occurrin g in North America are discussed and keyed. Two of the species, Coccin ella hieroglyphica L. and C. undecimpunctata L., are included in the k ey based on published descriptions. Larvae of C. alta Brown and C. ful gida Watson were not available. Coccinella johnsoni Casey is again pla ced as a junior synonym of C. californica Mannerheim.
