Abstract
PURPOSE/METHODS: We recorded electrophysiologic data of two patients w ith familial amyloidosis. RESULTS/CONCLUSIONS: Only minor abnormalitie s could be demonstrated clinically and by means of fluorescein angiogr aphy in one patient. Considerable alterations of electrophysiologic re sponses could be found in both patients. These results suggest that an early retinal or optic nerve involvement in amyloidosis could be dete cted by using these noninvasive techniques.
