PHASE ERROR IN FAST FOURIER-TRANSFORM ANALYSIS

In this paper, by analysing a windowing signal with Fourier transform, the leakage-induced phase error is investigated, and the phase error distribution is indicated. Furthermore, a practical approach to correc t leakage in a discrete frequency signal to obtain accurate phase info rmation is presented based on an analytical method. The correction res ult is that the phase estimation error is reduced to within 1 degree i n the given example. Some practical examples of this method are also p resented.
