Abstract
The pinpoint DMA test has been applied to the study of heterogeneous d egradation of a poly(ethylene-co-methylacrylate)-based industrial elas tomer. The determination of oxidation profiles at various aging times and temperatures allowed us to find the apparent activation energies o f the two different kinetic regimes: at the surface, the real oxidatio n rate; and in the bulk, kinetics limited by oxygen diffusion.
