Abstract
Leaves of Montanoa karwinskii afforded in addition to known sterols, t riterpenes and kaurane derivatives, four germacra-12,6 beta-olides. Th ree were new compounds, karwinsinolides A, B and C. Their structures w ere established by spectral methods, mainly NMR. A new seco-caryophyll ene derivative was also isolated.
