Abstract
Current active individual hearing protectors are electrodynamic headse ts driven by simple analog filters. The active attenuation, of these p rotectors is limited to low frequency components of noise. This Study proposes digital filtering in the development of more complex filters which in particular can accomodate various antinoise sources. Such a f iltering system has been constructed and its behaviour is discussed in light of results of a sample application.
