The performance of a telescope of micro-strip gas chambers (MSGC) has
been studied in a beam of pions. Detectors with different anode pitch
and with different substrates have been operated using several gas mix
tures. The position resolutions obtained by reading out the cathodes f
or the 200 mu m pitch is 42 mu m. For the 400 mu m pitch detectors the
resolution is 42 mu m after correcting the centroid positions with a
function derived from the data.
