NEW RESEARCH IN PERSONALITY-DISORDERS

This is an overview of the results of recent research (indexed in Medl ine after 1992) on the personality disorders. It is meant to alert rea ders to the issues, findings, and methodological limitations of invest igations in this area. We grouped related themes together in order to facilitate recognition of trends and of promising avenues for future r esearch. These themes include the relationships of personality disorde rs to other disorders and to society, therapies of personality disorde rs, and advances in biological science.
