ATTACHING-EFFACING DNA-SEQUENCES (EAEA) A RE SIGNIFICANTLY MORE FREQUENT IN VEROTOXIGENIC ESCHERICHIA-COLI ISOLATED FROM CALVES WITH DIARRHEA THAN IN ISOLATES FROM HEALTHY CALVES
P. Pohl et al., ATTACHING-EFFACING DNA-SEQUENCES (EAEA) A RE SIGNIFICANTLY MORE FREQUENT IN VEROTOXIGENIC ESCHERICHIA-COLI ISOLATED FROM CALVES WITH DIARRHEA THAN IN ISOLATES FROM HEALTHY CALVES, Annales de medecine veterinaire, 138(8), 1994, pp. 597-599
Attaching-effacing DNA sequence (eae A) was detected by hybridisation
in 27 of 37 verotoxigenic Escherichia coil (VTEC) isolates from diarrh
oeic calves and in only two of 18 VTEC isolates healthy calves. The VT
EC isolates form diarrhoeic and healthy calves do not belong to the sa
me serotypes.
