The energy loss spectrum of the molecular nitrogen in the energy regio
n 12-14 eV has been measured at 300 eV impact energy and in the range
of scattering angles of 2.75 degrees-10.25 degrees. The differential c
ross sections and generalized oscillator strengths have been determine
d for individual vibronic excitation band (v' = 1-4) of b(1) Pi(u) fro
m the ground state of N-2,and the absolute optical oscillator strength
s have also been obtained by taking the limit of K --> 0. Results have
been compared with experimental data and theoretical calculations pre
viously published.
