This paper discusses several factors that should be considered in inte
grated risk analyses of global climate change. We begin by describing
how the problem of global climate change can be subdivided into largel
y independent parts that can he linked together in an analytically tra
ctable fashion. Uncertainty ploys a central role in integrated risk an
alyses of global climate change. Accordingly, we consider various aspe
cts of uncertainty as they relate to the climate change problem. We al
so consider the impacts of these uncertainties on various risk managem
ent issues, such as sequential decision strategies, value of informati
on, and problems of interregional and intergenerational equity.
