Abstract
Flavonol aglycones from the genus Chrysosplenium showed potential anti tumour-promoter activity. Three flavonols, oxyayanin A and chrysosplen ols D and E, markedly inhibited the incorporation of (32)Pi into phosp holipids of confluent HeLa cells stimulated by 12-O-tetradecanoylphorb ol-13-acetate (TPA), a potent tumour promoter. The potency of the flav onols proved to be similar to those of other antitumour-promoting flav onoids.
