S. Drummond et al., PERCEPTUAL AND ACOUSTICAL ANALYSIS OF ALARYNGEAL SPEECH - DETERMINANTS OF INTELLIGIBILITY, Perceptual and motor skills, 83(3), 1996, pp. 801-802
The speech productions of 8 male alaryngeal speakers were used to iden
tify four perceptual measures and five durational measures which were
significant for identifying intelligibility of alaryngeal speech. The
acoustic variable of duration was a key factor in relating perceptual
and acoustic measures.
