S. Predak et al., NEW INSIGHTS INTO THE REENTRY BEHAVIOR OF DEUTERATED DCNQI CU-SALTS BY MICROWAVE MEASUREMENTS, Acta Physica Polonica. A, 87(4-5), 1995, pp. 791-795
The microwave conductivity of the copper salt of DCNQI (N,N'-Dicyanoqu
inodiimine) with two methyl side groups (undeuterated, h(8)), the full
y deuterated salt (d(8)), the salt with only the methyl groups deutera
ted and of alloys of undeuterated and deuterated salts was measured. T
he microwave conductivity (10.2 GHz) qualitatively follows the de cond
uctivity. The difference is in the window of diminished conductivity b
etween phase transition and reentry, where the microwave conductivity
is higher than the de conductivity. This indicates the existence of a
crystal fraction with higher (metallic) conductivity (portion: approxi
mate to 1 parts per thousand) not seen by dc methods.
