Conducting reticulate doped polymeric films containing BEDT-TTF iodide
crystalline network were annealed in order to transform the crystalli
tes into crystal phases with metallic conductivity. Measured optical a
bsorption spectra show that annealing shifts the absorption band to hi
gher frequencies and increases the transparency of the films. This beh
avior corresponds to the transformation of the alpha-phase into the su
perconducting alpha(t)-phase observed in (BEDT-TTF)(2)I-3 single cryst
als.
