Abstract
Polynuclear mesitylcopper and mesitylsilver react with [(eta(5)-C(5)H( 4)SiMe(3))(2)Ti(C=CSiMe(3))(2)] 1 to afford the monomeric complexes [1 . Cu(eta(1)-Mes)] 2, and [1 . Ag(eta(1)-Mes)] 3, in which both alkyne moieties of the 3-titanopenta-1,4-diyne unit are eta(2)-coordinated t o a MesCu(Ag) unit.
