Abstract
A 50-year climatic numerical simulation with a global coupled ocean-at mosphere general circulation model (CGCM) is presented. The only forci ng is the input of solar radiation at the top of the atmosphere. After an initial tropical warming, air-sea fluxes reach a global balance at the interface. Average oceanic temperature and salinity drifts are re latively weak (+0.4 degrees C/century and +0.04 g/kg/century). Despite some systematic biases, the model robustness and stability are quite promising for future studies.
