Abstract
Otoplasty is a continually evolving procedure that significantly and b eneficially alters the patient's facial appearance. Multiple technique s have been and are currently in use, A new method for partial or tota l correction of the ''lop'' protuberant ear deformity is described, th e basis for this technique being percutaneous placement of retention s utures. Percutaneous placement leads to an incisionless otoplasty tech nique. Depending on the ear deformity, the incisionless technique may be used alone or in conjunction with other methods.
