The kinetics of a first order phase transition in terms of adsorbed mu
lti-component vapor-solid in the presence of chemical reactions betwee
n components are studied. A classification of processes which may occu
r in an ensemble of adsorbed particles is given and a theory of these
processes is developed. Possibilities for the existence of oscillation
growth modes, origination of periodic structures during spinodal deca
y and self-organization phenomena are shown. Events of endo- and exoth
ermal reactions are briefly analysed.
