The energy-corrected intensities of the primary gamma-transitions in E
r-168, Hf-178, (HO)-H-166, (176)LU, Ta-182 and (177)LU following therm
al and average resonance neutron capture are calculated from data avai
lable in the Literature. The data reveal a significantly lower average
transition rate for K-forbidden than for K-allowed primary transition
s. The effect is more pronounced in the data from thermal neutron capt
ure than in the data from 2 keV neutron capture.
