Abstract
In this correspondence, various options available for the online compu tation of discrete cosine transform-IV (DCT-IV) and discrete sine tran sform-IV (DST-IV) in hardware is considered and compared. A novel arch itecture for the simultaneous, real-time computation of both the trans forms, based on the decomposition of the odd-time, odd-frequency discr ete Fourier transform (O-2 DFT), is also proposed.
