Abstract
Ba-K-Pb-O single crystals(greater than or equal to 5 mm on an edge) we re synthesized by electrocrystallization from a KOH/ZnO flux at 260 de grees C in air. The resulting crystals were analyzed by using XRD and XPS. The XPS results show that the valence of Pb in Ba-K-Pb-O crystals is predominately in +2, while mixed valent O2- and O1- may exist.
