Gs. Bhuyan, EFFECT OF COLD-BENDING AND STRAIN-AGE-EMBRITTLEMENT ON THE FRACTURE-BEHAVIOR OF CSA G40.21-M-350-WT STEEL, Journal of testing and evaluation, 23(3), 1995, pp. 235-237
The galvanizing process shifted the scatter band for impact energy val
ues of the CSA 350 WT, category 4, plate material by approximately 10
degrees C. The cold-straining alone produced the most significant shif
t (30 degrees C) in the ductile-to-brittle transition temperature. Thi
s particular steel was found to be less susceptible to strain-age-embr
ittlement.
