Abstract
Dynamical x-ray diffraction in the Bragg geometry, under surface acous tic wave excitation, was found to be sensitive to small static and dyn amic strains in almost perfect single crystals. An acoustic wave stimu lates x-ray scattering processes that lead to Various modifications in the shape of rocking curves, depending on the strain level of the sam ple and on the amplitude, w, of the acoustic wave. These modifications in strained Si crystals are studied by means of double-crystsal diffr actometry. A new strain analysis is proposed on the basis of the obser ved anomalous behaviour of the rocking curves width as a function of w .
