Abstract
A case of renal angiomyolipoma composed primarily of smooth muscle ele ment is presented. It was a solitary small tumor without evidence of t uberous sclerosis. The imaging findings including ultrasonography, com puterized tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and angiography were not characteristic of angiomyolipoma, but suggestive of atypical rena l cell carcinoma, and a simple nephrectomy was performed, The diagnost ic considerations, particularly imaging features of angiomyolipoma, ar e discussed.
