Abstract
The (AGG/AGA) tRNA gene, dnaY, and the chaperonin gene secB have been combined on the same plasmid, pHB2. Therefore, the effect of increased secB expression upon accumulation of secreted proteins may be assesse d, even for genes containing a high proportion of rare arginine codons . The effect of co-transformation of pHB2 upon yields of BPTI in Esche richia coli is discussed.
