Abstract
Composting processes in two MSW recycling plants sited in Valencia wer e investigated. Each used piles aerated by mechanical fuming, although with different methodology. The influence of the methods on the devel opment of the process and final product characteristics was studied. T he evolution of physical, chemical and physico-chemical parameters tha t give most information about processes occurring in the composting pi les was investigated, along with other analytical characteristics of t he composts.
