In the review the theoretical and experimental studies of the regulari
ties of the foam adsorption accumulation and separation of substances,
which are dissolved in a liquid phase in the molecular, or ionic and
micellar form are described. The dependencies of the main characterist
ics of foam accumulation and fractionation on the structural parameter
s of the foam and their interconnection are analyzed. The quantitative
relations for characteristics of the foam separation considering the
influence of the foam collapse are obtained. Dependencies of the enric
hment ratio on the expansion factor and the dispersity of foams and on
the capillary pressure in polyhedral (dry) foams obtained from soluti
ons of the individual surfactants and their mixtures are analyzed. The
examples of the partial separation and the foam chromatographic of su
rfactants and the brief information on the shift of equilibrium and ac
celeration of chemical reactions in foam are given.
