M. Sabir, CONSTITUTIVE RELATIONS FOR MAGNETOMECHANICAL HYSTERESIS IN FERROMAGNETIC MATERIALS, International journal of engineering science, 33(9), 1995, pp. 1233-1249
In this work, we present a constitutive relation that appears to give
a good description of rate-independent magnetomechanical hysteresis in
ferromagnetic materials. Notions such as residual magnetization, magn
etic loading (or unloading) function, first magnetization curve, major
hysteresis loops, primitive hysteresis loops and derivative curve are
introduced. The main arguments which are necessary to construct the m
agnetic hysteresis loops and the derivative curves are discussed. We a
lso study the effects of couplings with the stress on the overall shap
e of the magnetic hysteresis loops and the level of saturation. The hy
steresis loss associated with a general loop is found.
