Abstract
An expression is obtained for the magnetization dependence of the magn etostatic energy density associated with the volume magnetic charge de nsity for a magnetized amorphous ribbon along the easy axis. The sampl e energy diminishes due to the occurrence of the domain structure. The ratio of the primary and secondary domain sizes, corresponding to the minimum energy, is calculated. Due to the made assumptions, the deriv ed value of this ratio does not agree with the experimental data.
