Vn. Gittsovich et al., BULK AND SURFACE MAGNETIC-PROPERTIES OF DILUTE FECR ALLOYS, Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, 146(1-2), 1995, pp. 165-174
The electronic and magnetic structures of dilute FeCr alloys have been
investigated in the framework of the periodic Anderson model. The the
ory involves only a few phenomenological parameters, which can be dete
rmined via magnetic properties of pure Fe and Cr samples. Some example
s are considered: the perturbation of magnetic moments of Fe atoms due
to Cr impurities both in the bulk and near the surface; the electroni
c structure of the Cr protective monolayer covering the Fe surface; an
d the properties of Fe/Cr superlattices.
