Abstract
The lichen genus Neoheppia is resurrected as a genus in the family Pel tulaceae. Besides the type species of the genus, N. brasiliensis Zahlb r., the new species N. cataractae Budel and Serusiaux from Zaire is in cluded into the genus. The ecology of the new species is discussed and a key is included.
