R. Lopez et al., THE EXTENDED STRUCTURE OF THE HH-30 JET AND OTHER HERBIG-HARO OBJECTSIN THE HL TAURI REGION, Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 274(1), 1995, pp. 19
We present a deep, wide-field (similar to 10 x 10 arcmin(2)) [S II] la
mbda lambda 6717, 6731 image of the HL Tauri region. This image reveal
s a spatially extended emission region, previously undetected, which i
s aligned with the HH 30 jet and counterjet, ending in a bow-shaped st
ructure to the north-east. We also detect HH 266, a second bow-shaped
structure which might correspond to the north-eastern head of the jet
emanating from HL Tauri. Our image also includes HH 262, which is show
n to have a previously undetected extended emission region.
