Abstract
A two-chip low-noise transimpedance amplifier with automatic gain cont rol (AGC) is presented. The amplifier has been developed for a 10-Gb/s optical-fiber system and fabricated in a Si-bipolar production techno logy. The maximum transimpedance is as high as 45 k Omega and the elec trical input dynamic range is 33 dB.
