Abstract
African late-stage trypanosomiasis was diagnosed in 2 patients, one an d two years after they had left an endemic west african country, The s ymptoms were purely digestive in one patient, and psychiatric in the o ther. Eflornithine was perfectly well tolerated. Both patients can be considered cured after a follow-up of 3 years and 1 year respectively.
