P. Persoone et al., A NEW POWERFUL TRANSFORMATION FOR MAXIMUM-LIKELIHOOD COMMON FACTOR-ANALYSIS (MLCFA), Journal of electron spectroscopy and related phenomena, 71(3), 1995, pp. 225-232
A new transformation technique for maximum likelihood common factor an
alysis (MLCFA) is proposed as an alternative method for the traditiona
l target transformations. The so-called multiple region transformation
(MRT) makes no use of spectral reference libraries or target vectors,
but computes the real solution analytically. Both techniques, MLCFA a
nd MRT, are incorporated in a factor analysis software package, called
Factor Soft(C) (FS).(1) The factor analysis software FS has been appl
ied in combination with AES to study the reaction products formed at t
he interface of natural rubber vulcanized on a thin brass layer under
specific conditions.
