AUTOMATIC SUPPORT FOR CONSISTENT LABELING OF SKELETONIZED FRINGE PATTERNS

Evaluating the phase from a single fringe pattern is not a simple task because of the numerous possible ambiguities. Although good skeletons can be extracted automatically from noisy interferograms, the numberi ng of the fringes is still a time-consuming manual task. Using a graph formulation of the problem, it is possible to automatize the consiste nt labelling of the fringes in the case of a continuous phase field. T he remaining ambiguous points can then be determined in an arbitrary o r interactive way.
