Abstract
1,2-Digermacyclobutane (2) is formed by reaction of a stable germylene (1) with ethylene. The crystal structure of 2 has been, determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The H-1 NMR spectrum of the reactio n, mixture revealed the presence of a germirane having no substituents on the ring carbon.
