Abstract
The effects of strain rate changes were studied in the range from 0.6 up to 30 s(-1) and strains up to epsilon(m) at temperatures from 850 t o 1200 degrees C on the structure for a C-Mn steel grade microalloyed by V and N. Structure changes were investigated observing calculated a ctivation energy changes and by optical metallography for quenched sam ples. At selected strains an apparent impact of strain rate on the pro gress of dynamic recovery (DRV) and recrystallization (DRX) was reveal ed.
