Abstract
This paper presents measuring method developed to determine the fatigu e crack initiation and its propagation velocity in two phase alpha+bet a titanium alloy specimens under alternating bending. The measuring sy stem permits to make two-channel, parallel measurements of electro-mec hanical properties of the specimen. One channel is used for measuremen t of a change in specimen resistance, the second one records impulses of acoustic emission. Results of measurement are recorded in real. tim e and stored on two IBM PC type computers. Graphical analysis of resul ts is possible after a test.
