Abstract
The reaction of niobium pentachloride with Cd(GeEt(3))(2) (1 : 1) in T HF in vacuo has been studied. The reaction affords Et(3)GeNbCl(4) . TH F, which was characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy. To refine the composition of the compound, the thermolysis of Et(3)GeN bCl(4) . THF at 85 and 180 degrees C was studied.
