Abstract
An adaptive filter/photosensitive detector array system is analyzed fo r use in image acquisition. Different transmittance characteristic ada ptive filter models are investigated and a possible application is sug gested. The use of photochromes for passive adaptive filter implementa tion is postulated. Glass and plastic photochromic adaptive filters ar e tested to confirm some modeling results.
