Modulators for cw solid-state lasers based on stimulated Raman scatter
ing and second harmonic generation effects in the additional cavity an
d antiresonant loop are proposed. They are shown to be an effective to
ol for ultra-short pulse generation at main and secondary (Stokes or d
ouble) frequencies simultaneously. The static properties of these modu
lators are analysed. The numerical simulation of the generation dynami
cs of the Ti:sapphire laser with proposed modulators enables one to de
termine laser parameter ranges where effective mode-locking takes plac
