Abstract
Mechanochemical syntheses were performed to obtain europium compounds with composition of EuL(3) . 3H(2)O, where L is cinnamate or o-benzoyl benzoate ion. It was found that the yield of europium compounds is det ermined by the nature of the reagents and the time of mechanical activ ation. The compounds were characterized by elemental analysis and IR a nd luminescence spectroscopy.
