Abstract
A simple and rapid method is introduced for the determination of disso ciation constants of organic compounds by means of UV-visible spectrop hotometry. It is applicable to the compounds whose concentrations or e xtinction coefficients are not determined. It provides more exact diss ociation constants than other methods, even for polyprotic compounds w ith almost equal pK(a) values and compounds with extremely acidic or e xtremely basic properties.
