Abstract
A total of 301 Vietnamese immigrants in San Francisco, Oakland, and Lo s Angeles, California, were interviewed by telephone about their smoki ng habits. Smoking prevalence was 39.1% among Vietnamese men and 2.3% among Vietnamese women. Among men, the mean number of cigarettes smoke d was 12.8, and 54.8% reported wanting to quit.
