ANGIOMYOLIPOMA OF THE LEFT URETEROVESICAL JUNCTION ASSOCIATED WITH IPSILATERAL RENAL AGENESIS

To our knowledge we report the first case of retroperitoneal angiomyol ipoma located at the left ureterovesical junction associated with ipsi lateral renal agenesis. Radiologically, the mass had the characteristi cs of a cystic soft tissue tumor. Final diagnosis was determined by hi stopathological examination, which revealed the specific characteristi cs of angiomyolipoma. The tumor is theorized to be a result of develop mental malformation of fetal mesenchymal elements along the ureteral b ud during fetal development since it was associated with ipsilateral r enal agenesis.
