Abstract
The observed turnover at the high linewidth end of the infrared Tully- Fisher relation can be explained by the stellar population differences among galaxies. When the IRAS 60 mu m fluxes are added to the Tully-F isher relation as a second parameter, the turnover disappears and the scatter becomes smaller, from 0.35 to 0.25 mag.
